Chief calm despite financial woes

Published: 01 Apr 2009 - 14:30:20

County are hoping a new four-year season ticket will help them meet their debts to the Inland Revenue. The Edgeley Park outfit have paid off £125,000 to the taxman but face another deadline on April 19 has to be met to avoid the possibility of going into administration. The special adult ticket, priced £1,000, is designed to raise money quickly as the League One club attempts to pay off more of their debts. Connolly said: "We have got our noses above water. Now we have to make sure that we keep them up there. "Our objectives are still the same, though. Get past the immediate crisis - we are nearly there; stabilise the ship - we are laying the plans for that; then build for the future. It will not be either quick or easy."
