Bolton starlet joins County

Stockport County boss Jim Gannon has added to his attacking options by signing the Bolton Wanderers winger Leslie Thompson on a one-month loan deal.

The Hatters chief has also allowed youngsters James Tunnicliffe and Chris Coward to join Blue Square Premier League strugglers Northwich Victoria on similar arrangements.

Gannon said of Thompson's arrival: "Leslie's an exciting player who will give us a different dimension up front while Anthony Pilkington and David Poole recover from injury.

"We hope to give Leslie the league experience that so many good Premier League and Championship players have had at this club over the last 18 months."
