Ablett praise for Thompson

Stockport County boss Gary Ablett has praised striker Peter Thompson, who was a key figure in the 1-0 win at Tranmere Rovers last time out.
The 25-year-old Irishman stepped in after loan striker Nicholas Bignall suffered a hamstring injury and showed up well at Prenton Park.
Ablett told the Stockport Express: "Tommo worked his socks off and I thought he was outstanding. He doesn't get the credit he deserves a lot of the time.
"He just needs to score a goal for his confidence. Once that comes we'll have a very good player on our hands.
"He battles away with very little support. He probably could do with a lot more help than he gets, but we'll get there with him."
