Ablett pleased with Hatters attitude

Published: 24 Jan 2010 - 11:39:13

A poor match will best be remembered for the late sendings off of Scott Dobie and Jabo Ibhere. Dobie, who only came on at half-time as a substitute for veteran midfielder Graham Kavanagh, was shown a straight red by referee Chris Sarginson after clashing with central defender Danny Swailes. Ibhere followed with a second yellow in the 81st minute after Carlisle defender Ian Harte had been floored by a tackle. The Hatters are still 12 points adrift of safety following their nightmare run but Ablett believes his team have at last got some reward for their hard work. He said: "I'm delighted for the players. They have shown a fantastic attitude right through this dreadful run. I felt our performances in previous games deserved better than we got. "Carlisle put us under pressure in the first 15 minutes of the second half, but we stood firm and our keeper made an unbelievable save at the end."
