Ablett in hands-off warning

Stockport County boss Gary Ablett has warned rival club's off trying to sign star 'keeper Owain Fon Williams as he claims the struggling club don't need the money.

Many of his young players are being sought after but he has insisted that the right offer has to come in for them before he gives any move the go-ahead.

Speaking to the Stockport Express, Ablett said: "We're getting interest for a lot of our younger players every day.

"We have had interest for Owain Fon Williams, but we're in the position now that we don't have to sell because we don't need the money.

"Clubs are coming in thinking they can buy players on the cheap because we're in need of the money but we're not.

However 18-year-old defender Josh Thompson is expected to leave Edgeley Park after the club received an offer from Scottish giants Celtic.

Ablett added: "Josh went and had discussions with Celtic on Friday and I don't see any hitches."
