Youngster touched by fans support
The 19-year-old suffered a double fracture of his tibia and fibia during Saturday's friendly with Grimsby but returned home on Wednesday.
"I was absolutely blown away to receive so many messages of support from the County fans and I don't mind admitting some of the longer ones brought a lump to my throat," said the midfielder.
Mainwaring thanked supporters through the club's official website as there were "too many" for him to reply to individually, adding: "Thank you so much for the fantastic support you've given me."
