Ward fumes at County defence

Stockport caretaker manager Peter Ward was unhappy with his side`s defensive display after they slumped to a 4-3 defeat to Lincoln in a thrilling encounter. Ashley Grimes hit a hat-trick for the visitors and Adam Watts` strike on half-time proved to be decisive despite an own-goal in the second-half. Adam Griffin and David Pools` efforts were not enough to salvage a point for the hosts. Ward said: "We didn't deserve anything out of it after defending like that. When you concede four goals at home you don't deserve to win. "That's been the story of our season all along. We concede too many goals. Our goal difference is absolutely atrocious and embarrassing. "We are playing with our hearts rather than our heads. There's a lot of hard work needs to be done - another four goals conceded at home is just not good enough. "There's 19 games left and we've got to set ourselves a target of eight wins and that may be enough."
