Torquay 2-0 Stockport: Report

Gulls ease to win Goals from Chris Zebroski and Billy Kee helped Torquay to their first victory five games following a 2-0 win over rock-bottom Stockport. Recalled Zebroski fired Torquay ahead in the 13th minute after great work by fellow forward Kee. County keeper Matthew Glennon could not hold Kee's thumping 20-yard shot and the ball fell to Zebroski, who guided the ball between two defenders on the line. Glennon more than earned his spurs for a succession of good saves, turning a Jake Robinson volley on to the bar and also palming another Kee effort on to the post. The County keeper then denied Zebroski with a diving save as half time approached. The second-half followed a similar pattern as Torquay bossed the game and Craig Stanley, the on-loan Morecambe midfielder, forced another tremendous stop from Glennon. Zebroski crossed from the right and Glennon made a superb stop to somehow palm away Stanley's sizzling 16-yard volley. United eventually scored a second gaol when Kee strode forward from the halfway line in the 72nd minute. County's defenders backed off and the young Torquay ace let fly from 25 yards to beat Glennon with a shot that flew into the bottom corner off the rainsoaked surface.
