Thordarson slates Hatters spending

The Alex were sent down to the fourth tier on Saturday following a disappointing campaign, but there is widespread anger at Gresty Road following Stockport's decision to go into administration just two days before the season ended.[LNB]The league duly imposed a 10-point penalty on the Hatters, yet as they had already accrued 60, they ended up escaping the drop by two points and Thordarson is angry with the timing of their decision to call in the administrators.[LNB]"It is unfair because it looks as though Stockport have been spending money they do not have," he told the Crewe Chronicle.[LNB]"Now they they get someone else to pay their debts off. They have gone through the season doing that and those clubs that kept their finances in control are the ones penalised at the end of it.[LNB]"Crewe is a good club and they do things the right way. They have always had the right approach and for Stockport to go into administration on the eve of the final game, knowing that the points deduction won't really affect them, is not right."[LNB][LNB]
