The Trust announced on Friday that the initial paperwork in the bid had been lodged with administrator Leonard Curtis. If successful, the Trust would retain 10 per cent ownership of County and would have a seat on the new board. Trust chairman David Hoyle told the Manchester Evening News: "We were very disappointed when the club was forced into administration but a huge amount of work has already gone into the preparation of a formal bid. "The new consortium contains local people of the highest calibre, both in the sporting and business worlds. "Coming, as they do, from the very top of various businesses as diverse as property, manufacturing and travel, they will bring exactly the type of expertise County needs to bring the club forward and to develop it in the years to come."
