Chief executive Sean Connolly last week revealed the club had productive meetings with unknown parties which resulted in a substantial inflow of funds into the club to pay wages and money owed to HM Revenue & Customs. And club chairman Martin Reid is urging fans to purchase the £1,000 season ticket as the club seek to raise more funds to service their debts. He told the club's official website: "Sean Connolly, Paul Cheetham, Phil Wilkes and myself have worked exhaustively over the last week or so to drive cash into the business without incurring any future debt. This has meant that wages have been paid this month and a cheque for £125,000 has been sent to the HMRC. "We have not saved the club yet but we have bought ourselves crucial time. However, we have another deadline to meet by April 19th for the HMRC so could I ask all our fans who can afford to do so to buy a four-year season ticket. "The initiative can quickly drive a substantial amount of income into County and this will be crucial in our on-going negotiations with the Inland Revenue."
