Simpson wants cup run

Stockport boss Paul Simpson is hoping his side can embark on a money-spinning run in the FA Cup when they enter the competition next month. County have struggled so far this season but Simpson believes success in the world`s oldest knockout cup competition could help to bring in much-needed funds. He said: "We have to find a way of generating funds so we can bring a bit more quality into the club so we'll be hoping for a good draw in the first round and to go a run in the cup. "We need to attract more fans to generate more money so we can bring better players to the club, but the fans aren't going to come until we're playing well and winning games."
