Simpson to make changes

Stockport boss Paul Simpson looks set to swing the axe when his side travel to rivals Morecambe. County were subjected to a humiliating 5-0 home defeat against Hereford on Saturday and changes are on the cards. "It was a horrible performance for 90 minutes," said Simpson, who looks set to remain without the services of defender Danny Swailes (knee). Meanwhile, midfielder Matty Mainwaring is due to go into hospital in a bid to cure the problems that have hampered his progress this season. He has been suffering from discomfort recently from the leg which was broken against Grimsby, and the metal pins which were put in place during the operations he had at the time, are to be removed to aid his recovery. The operation, due towards the end of November will keep the midfielder out of first team contention until the New Year.
