Simpson ready for January sales

Stockport manager Paul Simpson is hoping to bring in two players during the January transfer window in order to freshen up his depleted squad. County currently sit 21st in League Two, one point above the drop zone and if Simpson wants to bring an experienced centre-half and striker to the club, he will need to off-load fringe players in order to balance the books. "It will be a case of doing some manoeuvring with the budget," he told the Stockport Express. "It`s a really difficult situation and we`re going to have to be imaginative if we are going to bring players in. "The fact of the matter is that we have got players that are not playing and we may have to look at moving some of them on. "That said, we need a club to take them."
