Simpson: Job is tougher than I thought
Stockport boss Paul Simpson admits the job of turning around the club`s fortunes is proving more difficult than he first anticipated.
Simpson took the helm at Edgeley Park in the summer when County were still reeling from a disastrous 2009-10 campaign which saw them relegated to npower League Two.
Tuesday`s 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Port Vale was Stockport`s seventh defeat of the season and left them one point above the drop zone.
Simpson said: "I knew when I came during the summer it was going to be a tough job.
"It`s probably proving tougher that I expected it would be but we`ve got to keep working at it."
