Simpson: Hatters were unlucky

Stockport manager Paul Simpson thought his side were slightly unfortunate not to claim all three points in their 1-1 draw with Torquay. Substitute Greg Tansey grabbed a point for the Hatters with 16 minutes to go as he lashed home clinically from 25 yards for his second goal in as many games. Tansey`s strike had cancelled out Eunan O'Kane`s effort - the Irishman pounced from close range after Ashley Hemmings' low, angled shot bounced back out off the post just after the hour mark. Simpson said: "I was hopeful of gaining three points, but you have to pay Torquay a lot of respect. They are a good side, and they came into this match on the back of a good unbeaten record. "We knew they'd make it difficult for us, but we changed one or two things round in the second half and we caused them problems. "We were unlucky maybe in the end. I really fancied our chances to go on and get the win, but Torquay showed good movement and pace all day."
