Simpson has spent up
Stockport boss Paul Simpson has admitted there is no money left in the budget to spend on bolstering his squad.
After bringing seven new faces to Edgeley Park during the summer - including latest recruit Jamie Proctor - Simpson says he has now spent up.
He is still hoping to add to his squad before the transfer window shuts on September 1 but told the Stockport Express: "At the moment we have no funds left.
"We've got a very thin squad but we'll see what happens over the next few weeks.
"We have absolutely no budget left."
