Simpson confident over duo

Stockport boss Paul Simpson is confident that his new centre-half partnership of Jordan Rose and Mansour Assoumani will continue to prosper. The pair were thrown together after the injury to Danny Swailes that will keep the club captain out for the rest of the season. And Simpson told the Manchester Evening News: "Mani is relatively new to the Football League and Jordaan has only played three-and-a-half games so far so it will take some time. "They are the only two centre-halves we have and they need to get an understanding and we're working on that. They certainly have potential. "And they have an experienced goalkeeper in Matty Glennon behind them who doesn't like conceding goals and the fact he's so vocal should help them."
