Seagulls chief set for Gannon talks

Knight, seeking a replacement for Micky Adams, is meeting the Stockport boss and is also having talks with another unnamed candidate.[LNB]Brighton have already received permission from Stockport chairman Martin Reid to speak to Gannon and Knight said: "Jim is a very bright up-and-coming manager and is a genuine contender.[LNB]"He has been a very good manager for Stockport on a small budget and I'll do my best to persuade him. But it's a long way from being a done thing. I've got two or three candidates and I'll see them all."[LNB]Speaking after Brighton's 1-1 home draw with Northampton, Knight added: "We've got a very good list of people - exactly the kind we want - and I'm seeing two of them on Wednesday."[LNB][LNB]
