Rose committed to Hatters

Stockport defender Jordan Rose has vowed to stay at Edgeley Park even if the club fail to perform a great escape and avoid relegation from the Football League. Bottom-placed County lie eight points adrift of safety with only four matches remaining and are seemingly doomed. Yet Rose, who was snapped up on a one-year deal last summer after impressing former boss Paul Simpson during a two-week trial, is not fazed by the prospect of playing in the Blue Square Bet Premier. The 21-year-old told the Stockport Express: "It would be a nightmare if we dropped out of the league but I'm ready for the challenge if it happens. "I would love to stay. No one has spoken to me about a new contract and I don't think anything will happen before the end of the season. "I love Stockport County. I've been here for nine months and I've fallen in love with the club. It's an easy thing to do because the fans are so passionate about the club."
