Pulis set for Hatters bow

Stockport boss Paul Simpson could hand a debut to new signing Anthony Pulis when his side make the trip to Gillingham. The Southampton midfielder, 26, has joined County on a one-month loan deal and will go straight into the squad to face the Gills. His arrival offsets the departure of Preston midfielder Jamie Proctor following the completion of his two-month loan spell. Simpson has no major injury worries but will again be without striker Barry Conlon, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury. Stockport tasted defeat for the first time in six games after last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Burton and Simpson is targeting an immediate response. He said: "We've got to do things properly and lift ourselves after the defeat at Burton."
