Stockport caretaker boss Ray Mathias will be without striker Matt Paterson for the home clash with Cheltenham. The Southend forward is currently injured and has missed County`s last three games but has now returned to his parent club. James Vincent will miss out through injury but Paul Turnbull will return to the squad. Mathias wants to lead the club straight back into the Football League if he is handed the reins on a permanent basis. Mathias joined the club in January but the club have received applications from several other potential candidates. Mathias said: "It's going to be a long season next year, but, given the chance, I will give it my best shot at bringing us straight back up."M
