Only wins will do - Mathias

Stockport manager Ray Mathias knows that draws are no longer good enough after his side slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury. First-half goals from Tom Bradshaw and Nicky Wroe consigned the bottom club to a 10th consecutive loss away from home as relegation to non-league football looms large. Mathias said: "Draws are no good now, we have to win at Port Vale next week. "It was poor defending for their two goals, the sort of thing you might see in the park on Sunday. "The first half was inept. It was a good surface and we couldn't pass the ball five yards, but in the second half we really slaughtered them. The problem is there's no-one in the team who wants to score a goal. "The preparation was poor. We went to the old ground and that messed up our meal before the game. We have to do the football thinking. It's up to the business side of the club to do the `thinking' thinking."
