Mixed feelings for Simpson

Paul Simpson reflected on a superb game of football after his Stockport side drew 3-3 with Crewe. Greg Tansey forced home from close range but Crewe's Clayton Donaldson scored either side of half-time. David Poole then scored from close range in the 54th minute. Crewe went back in front 10 minutes later through a spectacular 35-yard free kick from Danny Shelley. Then when Wes Fletcher was upended by David Artell in the area, Tansey made it 3-3 from the penalty spot to complete the scoring. Simpson said: "What a game if you were a neutral, if you want to see end-to-end football, but as a manager and a coach it was a very, very frustrating game to be honest with you. "We've gifted them goals by not doing things properly. I think they've had spells when they've passed the ball well. They're a good football side - we all know what Crewe sides are like. "But the positives are that we've shown tremendous character, good fitness levels and at times we've created some great chances."
