Mainwaring ready to answer call
The Republic of Ireland and France emerged successfully from a preliminary qualifying group of the 2009 UEFA Championship in Malta last November.
Mainwaring, who impressed in a recent training camp, is now hoping to be called into the Irish squad that travels to Belgium for the crucial games against Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden from June 5-10 in the second qualifying phase.
The winners of the group will then advance to the finals of the UEFA Championship to be held in the Ukraine in July.
