Hatters striker taken to hospital

Thompson, a Northern Ireland international, has missed County's last two games with a chest infection and only lasted five minutes of a training session before complaining of tightness in his chest.[LNB]The club doctor immediately diagnosed the 24-year-old with a spontaneous collapse of the lung and he was admitted to hospital.[LNB]Hatters' physio Rodger Wylde told the Stockport official website: "Peter was given a course of antibiotics last Thursday and was then diagnosed by the club doctors before Saturday's game against Southend.[LNB]"He seemed to be improving and came in on Monday for a run. He only managed 20 minutes, though, before his chest started tightening.[LNB]"He tried again on Thursday but there was no improvement. We asked the doctor to have another look at him and he diagnosed a spontaneous collapse of his lung."[LNB][LNB]
