Acting Stockport chairman Mary Gibbons says work is continuing behind the scenes to attract new investment following their relegation from League Two. County are preparing for non-league football for the first time in 106 years and are currently in negotiations with a number of potential investors. And Gibbons said: "To establish the credentials of potential investors a lot of work has to take place prior to any formal meetings. "This has been on going for several weeks in relation to how we can incorporate both theirs and our vision for the future commercial success of Stockport County Football Club."
