Hatters hopeful of takeover talks
County owe £450,000 to the Inland Revenue and Maguire's sudden departure from the Trust-run club last week has led to further uncertainty at Edgeley Park.[LNB]Money is owed to several parties and, with the risk of administration and a subsequent points deduction a looming threat, Maguire is seeking to save the Cheshire outfit.[LNB]Reid, who admits the club face an uncertain future, said: "Two months ago Mark came to me and said with the financial situation at the club he thought the club needed a management buy-out.[LNB]"Since then, Mark has contacted people he knows and is putting a bid together. So it's in the interest of the club and himself that he actually got on with this project and his position became untenable.[LNB]"It didn't help that we were substantially over-budget at the time."[LNB][LNB]
