Hatters edge closer to takeover
County have been in administration since April 30, 2009 but administrators Leonard Curtis say an agreement has finally been reached with the Melrose consortium.[LNB]A statement from Leonard Curtis said: "We can confirm that the administrators have agreed terms with the Melrose Consortium for the sale of the club.[LNB]"As with their previous offer, however, the sale remains conditional upon them reaching agreement with the landlord, Cheshire Sports and the Football League.[LNB]"We understand that the next Football League board meeting is scheduled for 11th March. There will be no further statement from Leonard Curtis at this stage."[LNB]Gary Ablett's side are rock-bottom of League One with 13 matches remaining.[LNB][LNB]
