Hatters chairman wants Hoyle stay
The financially-crippled League One outfit are saddled with debts which have threatened to force them into administration.
And Gannon, who guided County to promotion last season and has been linked with a move to neighbours Oldham, has been a vehement critic of the club's perilous predicament, especially as his movement in the transfer market has been limited as a result.
But Hoyle told his club's official website: "Jim Gannon has publicly expressed his opinion on the situation.
"He knows that I don't always agree with some of his views. But he also knows I have the utmost respect for him and want him to stay at Edgeley Park and continue the excellent work he's done over the last three years."
