Bridcutt, 20, and Bignall, 19, have joined County until January from Chelsea and Reading respectively. The young pair were outstanding against Crewe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy - a game in which Bignall opened his account - and also shone against Leeds despite the 2-0 defeat. Ablett told the Manchester Evening News: "I think Nicholas is a great acquisition. I was aware of him and Liam Bridcutt through Brendan Rodgers who's now at Reading. "I managed against Brendan a couple of times last year with Chelsea and Liverpool reserves and Liam stood out in both games so he was someone I thought would benefit us if we could bring him in. "And Nicholas has changed the game for us in terms of the way we play. He has a little bit of extra pace and he's looking to shoot all the time and be positive."
