Goodall opts for Stockport switch

Rochdale defender Alan Goodall has agreed to join League Two strugglers Stockport on a deal until the end of the season. Goodall's contract at Spotland expired and he rejected the offer of a new deal until the summer in favour of a switch to Edgeley Park. He made the move following reassurances of more regular first-team football at Stockport and the possibility of a contract extension. Goodall has made just six appearances in all competitions in his second stint at Dale and was loaned out to Conference side Newport County in November for one month.
