Gibbons optimistic over Hatters future

Stockport acting chairman Mary Gibbons insists the club will survive despite their impending relegation from the Football League. County have suffered from financial problems, spending the whole of last season in administration. In the summer a group of local business people, the 2015 Consortium, took control and steadied the club. Gibbons told BBC Radio Manchester: "Even though we have dropped out we are still alive, which this time last year we didn't think we would be. "The board and the backroom staff are actually working very hard preparing for next season and we will be sitting down as a board and basically looking at the structure of the football club. "We've actually got three contracted players for next season so obviously it is our job to have a look at the players that we've got and have a chat with the managerial team."
