Gerrard in line for keeper duty

The 36-year-old former Latics favourite joined Ablett's coaching staff earlier this summer and will also act as understudy to Wales international Owain fon Williams. The highly-rated fon Williams was outstanding in Saturday's goalless draw at neighbours Oldham but misses the trip to the Galpharm Stadium because he is on international duty with Wales. Gerrard, whose last club was Sheffield United, made his Premier League debut for Oldham at the age of 19 and has made over 350 career appearances. Meanwhile, County have confirmed that Curtis Jones and Michael Ordish have joined Josh Thompson at Celtic.
