Fletcher in for Stockport

Stockport have been boosted ahead of their FA Cup first-round replay at Peterborough after Wes Fletcher extended his loan spell into a second month. Fletcher ended his first month's loan with a superbly-taken goal to give County a 1-0 win at Bury on Saturday. The two clubs have now agreed to extend the 20-year-old's stay at Edgeley Park and Stockport captain Paul Turnbull reckons he will continue to prosper. It was Fletcher`s first goal in six appearances for Simpson`s side and Turnbull said: "The manager kept saying to him that he would get a chance and it finally happened for him." Watford defender Tom Aldred joined County on loan last week but is ineligible to play in the FA Cup as he signed after the first match at Edgeley Park, which ended 1-1.
