Anthony Elding has revealed it was nice to feel wanted again after signing for Stockport. Elding recently rejoined County on loan from Rochdale for the rest of the season, and after rejecting other offers, the striker admitted they were the only club he was going to sign for in the transfer window. "I had some nice offers from Southend, Gillingham and Port Vale and there were a couple of Conference clubs as well which I didn't really fancy," he told the Manchester Evening News. "But what I need at this time in my career is to come back here and be loved if you like; like I was before. To do that I've got to score goals and help get the right results. "We're in a relegation fight but we're only three wins off the play-off places as well. That's how tight it is and it's still there for us if we start believing. "I've come back to play football and I've come back to help Stockport. They've helped me by giving me games so it works both ways."
