Elding doubtful for County
Stockport caretaker boss Peter Ward will assess the fitness of striker Anthony Elding ahead of the trip to Torquay.
Elding aggravated an ankle injury during the warm-up prior to Tuesday's home clash with Chesterfield and was replaced in the starting line-up by Jordan Rose.
Elding's absence forced Ward into a change of formation against the Spireites but the forward trained on Thursday and is hoping to be passed fit.
New recruit Alan Goodall will come into contention to make his debut following his move from Rochdale.
However, on-loan Blackpool midfielder Stephen Husband is nursing a knock and has gone back to Bloomfield Road for treatment this week.
County are rock-bottom of npower League Two and have 17 matches remaining to preserve their Football League status.
