County bid to end keeper crisis

County's number one Owain Fon Williams could require surgery on a shoulder injury and with reserve stopper Lloyd Rigby also out injured, Jim Gannon is left with two untried youth team keepers. However, the club's ability to use the emergency loan system could be in doubt as they currently have an outstanding loan with the PFA. Chief executive Sean Connolly told the club's official website: "These are extraordinary circumstances that demand extraordinary solutions, and although the PFA have kindly provided an advance against money due, we would hope they would back our request to sign a goalkeeper. "We feel the Football League would view the request in the same way as in the past they have shown excellent judgment in dealing with difficult circumstances."
