Burnley striker Wes Fletcher has returned to Turf Moor following the end of his loan spell at npower League Two strugglers Stockport. Fletcher's three-month spell at Edgeley Park ended on Saturday after making 12 appearances for the Hatters. He only managed one goal - the winner in the 1-0 win over Bury in November - during his time at County but his brief stay was regarded as a success. Stockport said in a statement: "Stockport County would like to place on record their thanks to young striker Wes Fletcher, who has returned to parent club Burnley after a three-month stay at Edgeley Park. "Fletcher was a firm favourite amongst the Hatters faithful, making several goals whilst with the club and also scoring the winner in our derby day victory at Gigg Lane. "New Clarets boss Eddie Howe has recalled his loan players to allow him to assess his playing staff, but County have made it known that should the young forward be available again he would be more than welcome back."
