Ablett relieved to see Hatters hold on

County had led 4-0 in the clash between League One's bottom two thanks to a George Donnelly double and strikes from Richie Partridge and Jemal Johnson.[LNB]But they contrived to let Wycombe back into the game, substitute Matt Phillips scoring twice and Owain fon Williams conceding an own goal to ensure a nervy finale. Yet the Hatters held firm to secure victory.[LNB]Ablett said: "I thought for an hour we were fantastic and if it wasn't for (Wycombe goalkeeper) Tom Heaton, it could have been six or seven. Then when their goal went in, the jittery moments came and we were hanging on.[LNB]"We were slightly too deep. We didn't block enough crosses, allowed too many balls into the box and kicked away a lot of possession. Having said that, if you'd have said we were going to win 4-3 before the game I would have grabbed that with both hands.[LNB]"They've shown for an hour that they can play football against good teams. But nothing's ever easy at Stockport. We got a bit of a pasting on Tuesday (against Swindon) but they showed tremendous character to come out here and put on a show."[LNB][LNB]
