Fulton ensures Stirling response

Stirling bounced back from their weekend defeat at Clyde courtesy of Dale Fulton's deflected second-half winner in a 2-1 home victory over 10-man Albion.

Fulton's shot midway through the second half secured Stirling a third home league win of the season after Albion midfielder Chris Dallas had cancelled out Phillip Johnston's early opener.

Johnston struck in the 10th minute after being played in by Graham Weir, racing on to the ball before despatching a right-footed shot high into the net for his second goal of the season.

But the home side's lead was short-lived. Stirling defender Ross McGleachie's attempted clearance fell straight to Dallas and after a good first touch the Albion midfielder smashed the ball home for a 15th-minute equaliser.

Albion were reduced to 10 men when Scott Chaplain was shown a straight red card by referee Craig Charleston after catching Stirling midfielder David McClune flush in the face with his boot during a high tackle.

Stirling regained the lead in fortuitous circumstances in the 63rd minute when Fulton's 20-yard shot was deflected past helpless Albion keeper Neil Parry.
