Ross Smith remains suspended for Stirling Albion

Stirling Albion are without suspended defender Ross Smith when they look to get the better of Montrose and secure their first league win of the season.

Darren Petrie continues to be ruled out with a knee injury with manager Stuart McLaren saying: "The boys showed a lot of spirit last week against Clyde to come back and get a point after going behind to a goal that came from our mistake.

"Hopefully that spirit will help us beat a Montrose side that are also looking for their first success. Like us they have had a draw and a narrow defeat and will want to taste that winning feeling."

Montrose hope to have Michael Bolochoweckyj available after injury when they look to bounce back from losing to a Highland League side for the second time this season.

The Gable Endies lost 1-0 to Turriff in the Irn-Bru Cup in midweek and manager Paul Hegarty is demanding an improvement despite losing Andrew Steeves and Chris Templeman to hamstring injuries and still having Chris Hegarty out with an ankle injury.

Hegarty said: "I would have been making changes anyway as the Turriff game was very disappointing.

"The players that come in have the chance to keep hold of a starting jersey and hopefully they will take it."
