Captain Ross McMillan returns for Stirling play-off charge

Stirling Albion have skipper Ross McMillan in their squad to face Montrose after three months out with a hamstring injury, as the Binos target a play-off charge with a win over the Gable Endies.

Willie Robertson is also added after a calf problem, but Kevin McKinlay (hamstring) remains out and Craig Beattie is a doubt.

Assistant manager Martyn Corrigan said: "We know that a win will put us on the promotion fringes with games in hand.

"Montrose are on a decent run but we have a capable squad and there is no better time to start a run of wins that will moves us upwards."

Montrose are without the injured Paul Watson (groin) and Ross McCord (knee) as they look to make it five games in a row without defeat.

Paul Hegarty's side fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with East Fife on Saturday and the Links Park boss said: "The players were fantastic in the last 20 minutes where they worked really hard to get us something.

"Scoring the late equaliser makes it feel that we are going into this game with a win behind us.

"However, we have to remember that we were not at our best for the first half at least and cannot slip to that level again."
