Stirling striker suspended

Stirling face mounting problems ahead of the visit of Montrose.

Boss Greig McDonald is without striker Stephen Day through suspension and David Weatherston is out with a hamstring injury, while Kieran McAnespie is struggling with a groin problem.

Stirling slipped to second from bottom of the table last weekend when they were on Scottish Cup duty, but McDonald is not panicking.

He said: "This league is a bit crazy at the moment as one win can move you up several places. Montrose are a good side and I am concentrating on beating them as opposed to league placings."

Montrose will look to stretch their unbeaten run to six matches when they travel to Forthbank, but Alan Campbell remains out due to an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, work commitments will keep Lloyd Young absent with manager Stuart Garden keen on a revenge mission.

Garden said: "It is always a tight game with Stirling and they came out on top at the start of the season at our place. Having won our last two league games it would be great to make up for their defeat and takes us to three wins on the trot.

"If they win they go above us but the longer we are above Stirling the better our season is."
