Elgin duo back in contention

Stirling will be without Graham Weir for the visit of Elgin.

Weir misses out through suspension after being sent off against Albion Rovers last weekend and he joins the injured Chris Smith and Bradley Coyne, who both have knee problems, on the sidelines.

However, Mark Ferry is fit and Stephen Day returns to contention after work commitments.

Forthbank boss Greig McDonald is asking his men to get a crucial time of the season off to a great start.

He said: "We have to play Elgin, Peterhead, Clyde and East Stirling and that is a tough run of games. It would be great to get it off to a win and also gain some revenge for a 4-0 defeat at Elgin earlier in the season."

Elgin will be without Brian Cameron after he aggravated a foot injury in the 2-0 win over Berwick last weekend.

Striker Paul Millar remains out following knee surgery but the Borough Briggs side have Paul Harkins and Graeme Beveridge available after injury, with manager Ross Jack warning his men to be wary of their hosts.

Jack said: "We played really well in the 4-0 win but I know Stirling were hurt by it. They will want to make up for it and also to get the three points that keeps them in the top four.

"A win gets us right back into things just a few weeks after being second bottom."
