McSorley banned for Stirling

Stirling Albion will be without the suspended Daly McSorley as they move from playing Rangers at Ibrox in front of 50,000 fans to facing second-bottom East Stirling at Forthbank.

Jamie McCunnie could return after hamstring trouble, but Jamie Clark and Danny Ashe remain sidelined through injury with manager Greig McDonald waiting on Gary Thom and Ross McGeachie, who both sustained knocks at the weekend.

McDonald said: "Rangers away and then East Stirling at home are two vastly different games and to be honest the East Stirling one is the bigger one from us.

"We are at home against a side close to us in the table and therefore have a better chance of winning than we did at the weekend. Three points could spark off our season."

East Stirling have included trialist defender Raymond Buchanan in their squad for the trip, with head coach John Coughlin keen to see the Whitletts Victoria stopper in action before pursuing an interest in the player.

The Shire are without the injured quartet of Rhys Devlin, Jamie Benton, Jamie Glasgow and Craig Donaldson and they also miss Philipp Zufle, who is serving the second game of a two-match ban.

Coughlin is telling his men to be wary of their bottom-of-the-table neighbours as he explained: "Stirling will be well up for this game as they will see this as an opportunity to close the gap on us and start getting some momentum behind them to climb the table.

"Our players will need to stand strong."
