Assistant manager Martyn Corrigan said: "Both sides want to get their promotion push going again. We have not played at our best recently but there is no panic as there is still 30 points available.
"We were two goals down at Annan last weekend but fought back to draw and if we start this game how we finished that one then we have a good chance."
Arbroath miss Ricky Little as he is banned following his sending-off against Clyde last weekend.
Craig Johnstone remains out with a knee injury and David Gold continues to be absent following an ankle problem.
Manager Todd Lumsden said: "We have been unlucky in our last three games and have deserved more than just the one point. We are creating chances and hopefully we will start getting them converted into goals and getting the wins we deserve.
"We know that this is the start of a huge week. We could change our season if we pick up wins starting against a Stirling side who will be saying the same thing."
