Allison missing for Stirling

Bottom club Stirling will be without defender Brian Allison when Annan visit after they decided not to appeal against the red card he received in the goalless draw at Peterhead on Saturday.

Ross McGeachie, who has a foot problem, is the only other absentee as the Forthbank side look to extend their unbeaten run to four games.

Player-manager Greig McDonald said: "I had hoped that by now we would have been off the bottom, but while performances have definitely improved, we are still not putting enough points on the board.

"A win and two draws is better than we were doing earlier in the season but I want to build on that run with a win over Annan."

Annan winger David Murray could return after overcoming a dead-leg that he sustained in a reserve-team game last week.

Definitely missing for the Galabank men are Peter Watson, who has a thigh problem, and Graeme Ramage, who is suffering with a knee injury.

Recently-appointed manager Jim Chapman reckons the first goal could be crucial and said: "In our last two games against Elgin and East Stirling we have lost the first goal and then lost our way in games.

"Confidence seems to drain out of the players when they go behind so hopefully we can reverse that by going in front and staying in front.

"Stirling have introduced experienced players, but if we can get that first goal we can win."
