Bishop boost for Albion

Stirling Albion will include new permanent signing Jamie Bishop in their squad to face Annan.

The former Forfar defender agreed to return to Forthbank permanently after his loan spell ended last month and the 28-year-old looks set to go straight into manager Greig McDonald's starting line-up.

Gary Thom is suspended, but everyone else in the Albion squad is available with the exception of long-term absentee Bradley Coyne (knee).

McDonald said: "Annan will be out to impress a new manager in Jim Chapman and they also lost here 5-1 at the start of the season.

"They will be full of energy, so we need to put in a very positive performance to match that."

Annan's recently-appointed manager Jim Chapman will be without Peter Watson, but Jack Steele is included following illness.

Watson is sidelined due to a thigh strain, while Chapman is back in the game after more than a two-year absence after leaving Dumbarton.

Chapman said: "The players have been on a good run so I do not plan to make many changes.

"I'll be looking to build on the momentum that has been built up in recent weeks and I'm really looking forward to the opportunity of getting my time at Annan off to a winning start.

"The Annan squad have the chance to make a great first impression although I recognise that it will be a tough game against a side that has a lot of experienced players in it."
