Mark Lamont shines as Stirling overcome Elgin
A Mark Lamont master-class helped Stirling beat Elgin 3-1 in Scottish League Two.
Elgin took the lead through Craig Gunn from the spot before goals from Lamont, Steven Doris and Darren Smith sealed the win.
The deadlock was broken via a 21st-minute penalty after Stirling's Craig Smith fouled Dylan Easton and Gunn fired home his 12th goal of season.
Lamont got his goal in the 53rd minute. Breaking clear of the defence, the striker finished his solo effort inside the area with a low drive into the corner.
Lamont turned provider in the 80th minute, swinging a cross on to the head of Doris in the box, with the striker bagging his fifth goal of the season via a post.
Stirling sealed all three points in the 86th minute, with Smith lashing home a free ball inside the area.
